    Random...

With 15 plus plus hours left... i don't know what to do. I don't wish to think about it as i know it will be a big flop. As people say,希望越大,失望越大。

Anyway, i got a job! Woopi! Um, i can't elaborate much here. Just know that i am a salesman promoting Starhub products and doing door-to-door sales. CCK people watch out! Here i come to disturb you guys! Haha.

    Nervous

Aargh! Oh no! This can't be true! I don't believe it! Why!? Why!? I don't want! Get off me! NOOOOO~!

Um, don't worry, i am not kidnapped or being abused and definitely not being raped. I am just trying to shake off the anxiety feeling i have this few days.

GCE "A" Level results will be released on March 1st!!!

Shit. I don't know what to expect. Will i cry? Will i really take sleeping pills? Will i really book a first class ticket to KL to jump down from the twin tower? Will i laugh like a mad man? Will i just jump in joy? Will i walk out of my school hall a happy man or a man on the brink of death?

    AAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!

Oh ya! Before i end, i would like the following to take place at my funeral. I want a really grand funeral. I want it to be held at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza so many people can come to pay their last respect. I don't need politicians to come but i expect all my relatives, whether close or distant to come. The wake should be 7 days and i expect all of my friends to come too. My funeral ceremony should be of my religion one and i want Lee Teng and Wei Xiong of Superhost to come to host my funeral ceremony. I also want the top 4 finalists of Project Superstar to come and sing my funeral songs. I especially want Kelly to sing 爱,无力 and Jun Yang to sing Guardian Angel/借口. Lastly, my ashes should be sent to Japan and buried over at Taiseikiji.

To my religion friends, i expect 塔婆 to be erected on the 7th and 49th day of my death and subsequently on the 1st year, 3rd year, 7th year and 21st year and of course not forgetting both the 彼岸会 held annunally. Everytime you guys go for tozan you should also visit my grave and 顺便扫墓.

With that, i will RIP. =)

P/S: My demands very simple hor? Can la huh.

    Thoughts...

Woohoo! The whole season of Superhost is finally over! Lin Cui Fang got the title while Lee Teng and Huang Wei Xiong came in runner-up and second runner-up respectively. A bit disappointing though as the two contestants i supported got into top three yet none of them walk home with the title.

I admit i know little about Cui Fang abilities and talents but i believed that she deserved the Superhost title as she came in 2nd in professional ranking and 1st in popularity ranking. How worse can she go being 2nd in professional ranking? Haha. Oh, if you support her, you can catch her hosting Superband with Milk(ex-energy member), Belinda Lee and Jeff Wang. Damn. I am doing free advertising for Mediacrop. They better think of a way to pay me man.

As for Wei Xiong, keeping his true talent all the way is not easy. Everyone was so surprised when he finally show everyone his true talent in the revival round. Wow. His performance at the revival round is simply amazing. I guess he finally 醒来了. Cruising into the Grand Finals with his new-found confidence, he 乘胜追击 and performed to his best and impress all the judges and two overseas 名嘴, 黄子佼 and 黄嘉千. Although he stumbled a bit in the second round, his performance and popularity is good enough to earn him the 3rd spot. Good job!

As for Lee Teng, his performance yesterday is nothing short of perfect. He performed at a standard higher than his previous one and definitely a notch better than other contestants. The way he handle the first round with his usual comedy style yet effectively bringing the message across is perfect. The way he handle 名嘴黄嘉千的为难 is yet another entertaining moment. No wonder he was first for the overall professional ranking. Furthermore, for the second time he came in third for his popularity ranking. Sadly, he just missed out on the title by a tiny bit. So close yet so far.

But look on the bright side man! Both Wei Xiong and Lee Teng are in the top three and they have demonstrated to everyone their true potential. Furthermore, Mr 章能容 said that Mediacrop will sign on other contestants who has the talent and potential. With their talent and popularity, i am sure we will see more of Wei Xiong and Lee Teng on TV.

On my way home, i overheard this conversation.

"After the whole thing(Superhost) don't forget me hor!"

    "I won't la"

This two lines actually triggered my thoughts. Looking back, through this competition, i know Hui Yuan, Jia Min and Xing Yu. We would always be at the recording, supporting Lee Teng and occasionally Wei Xiong. We would cheer Lee Teng on, applauding him for his marvellous performance and voting hard to ensure his survival. Unknowingly, this process lasted around 2 months plus. To me, once a friendship is formed, i would not forget it. I may not contact you for a long time but when i happened to bump into you, i will definitely not ignore you and if there is time, i will 叙叙旧 with you.

Now that Superhost has come to an end, it means i will no longer be rushing down to Mediacrop every thuesday for recording, meeting up with Jia Min, Hui Yuan and Xing Yu to discuss about Lee Teng's performance and no more typing MX or SX and sending it to 71199. However, the road may has ended, i will never forget the friendships made. Thank you Hui Yuan, Jia Min and Xing Yu for accompanying me on this road. We may need to go on our own roads now, but rest assured i will never regret and forget the times we spent together.

    Bangkok... day 1

Okay okay i admit i am lazy. Returned so long le still never blog about my adventures in Bangkok. So i decided to do it today. =)

It will be in five parts(five days mah) and every day one part. Hee. Sound like a 连续剧 hor?

    Okay here goes first part...

18/2/06 is definitely a day to remember. Why? Cause Kelly Poon will be holding her first ever autograph session for her debut album. Huh? Oops, wrong place liao. I mean, this is the first time i will be going to Bangkok with my brothers(Wei Jie and Wei Yang)! WOOHOO!

But as i said, first time mah, so there are a lot of things to prepare. What is worse is that on the day of departure, i am still packing. Hee. Even got scolded by my mum when i went to the library to get a travel guide on Bangkok. But hey, i brought enough! So no worry man!

Travel Tips: Find out about the weather at your destination place first before packing. You don't want to bring just tees and shorts when it is winter over at your destination right? Oh, remember to plan the amount of clothes you are bringing and remember to make plans for the ones you will be wearing to board the plane, ie, when will you be wearing it again later on in the trip. Lastly, prepare a waist pouch or some small bag that you can bring it around everyday to keep your valuables. Oh, one last thing, always ensure you brought your passport with you before leaving the house. Check that it is with you before you leave the house.

I carried only 2 bags, one 3/4 filled and one 1/4 filled. Reached airport at around 3 plus and met up with Wei Jie and Wei Yang. But i very de 不爽. No FAIR man! Both had their girlfriend to send them off while i only have the air to send me off. Hmph!

Travel Tips: If your trip is meant to be a shopping one, prepare extra bags to store your purchases or include bags in your shopping list. You don't want to board the plane with 10 plastics bags on your hand right?
If your trip is more of sight-seeing, prepare the necessary accessories like extra batteries for your camera etc. Keep your luggage simple. You don't want to be burdened by extra and useless things right?

After all the standard procedures we finally get on the plane.

    Sushi Roll!
My luggage! Don't they look like sushi rolls? Haha

    JetStarAsia Plane
Rather small though but hey, it is a Airbus with leather seats wor. Beside, what else can you expect from a budget airline?

    Wei Jie 1

    Wei Jie 2

Wei Jie is particulary 自恋 and you are sure to find more pictures of him later on.
    But look! The beautiful clouds!

    View from above

    Clouds
Reminds me of red blood cells clotting a wound. Really!

After a 3 hour ride, we finally arrived in Bangkok. Woohoo!

    Bangkok Arrival Hall
    Bangkok Arrival Hall

I want to complain man! They took very long man! Just look at the queue. Low efficiency man! Boy, i simply love Singapore's efficiency!

Travel Tips: Depending on which airline you are travelling in, it is best to check in 2 hours before departure time. For normal airlines, if you want to get good seats, check in at least 2 hours before departures. For budget airlines, check in at once the check-in counters are open. We check in 1 hour and 30 mins before departure and we got seats right at the back, just in front of the toilet.

Oh, for the first time, we have to tell the taxi driver to go by meter. Lolz. Furthermore, the fare amounted to $250 man! Wah! Taxi fare in terms of hundreds man! Oops, forget to tell you it is 250 bahts. Hee.

The 3D model of The Twin Tower Hotel that we spent 5 days 4 nights in. Can la huh?

Travel Tips: Always tell the taxi driver in Bangkok to go by meter. If they refused, get out. At the hotel, ask the receptionist about the safe. Some hotels have safe in individual rooms while some have safe specially at one corner of the hotel. Remember to deposit your extremely valuables in it. You don't want to risk losing it. Before going out, ask the porter or receptionist for the address of the hotel. Normally they would give you a small piece of paper with a map printed on it. If not, ask the staff to copy down the address for you. This will ensure that when you show the address to the taxi driver, you are brought to the correct place. Lastly, if you are venturing into somewhere new, always ask the staff or concierge for more information. They will give you advice and the things to take note when going into that new place, like how far it is, what to expect etc.

After settling down in our room by the name of 1070(go buy 4-D) at The Twin Tower Hotel, we are raring to go! First stop is Suan Lum(pronounced as Suan Loom, not Suan Lum like Wei Jie always say) Night Bazzar.

The lift landing of The Twin Tower Hotel
The lift landing at our floor at the hotel

    Elephant on the streets!
This was taken outside our hotel. Elephant walking on the street man! Cool eh?

    Suan Lum open-air food court
Look at the crowd at Suan Lum man!

    Food @ Suan Lum
    Food, glorious food!

Wah, their open-air food court damn big man! Confirm the size of a football field. Coincidently, on both side of the food court there are two hugh screen showing the match between Liverpool and Manchester United. Liverpool won 1-0.
At one side of the food court is a stage and after the match, there is a band and some singers entertaining the crowd. Eh, sorry huh but we don't understand Thai. =p

One of the performer at Suan Lum
Wei Yang say she quite pretty. Really huh?

Anyway, after that filling dinner which only cost us 480bahts(S$20), we went into the night bazzar. Wah! Very big leh! Can get lost in it one.

Superman, Spiderman, Batman and... Wei Jie??
Superman, Spiderman, Batman and Wei Jie??

We got quite a lot of things here. Tee shirts, wallet and watch etc. However, our undergraduate student, Wei Yang, mistook a 500 bahts note for a 100 bahts note and 傻傻的 pass it to the stallkeeper for a watch that we bargained down to 520 bahts. So he is actually paying 920 bahts for a 520 bahts watch. Bro, nevermind hor, doing charity right?

Our whole shopping trip took around 2 hours and boy, my legs are complaining and threatening to go on strike. Don't worry legs. We won't walk liao cause most stalls close liao. =)

Oh, according to Wei Yang, Thailand tap water unsafe for consumption. So we went to stock up on mineral bottles. You should have seen the shock expression on the auntie's face when we told her we want 12 mineral bottles.

That is all for day one. Will update day 2 to 5 at a later time. =)

Oh ya, before i go, the 12 bottles was finished by Monday. Guess what, Wei Yang alone finished 6. What a 水桶!

    Busy Saturday

Today is one hell of a rollar coaster ride for me.

Remember i said before i lost my hp in Thailand? So today i went down to get a new one. Wah! A BIG hassle leh.

As my line is under my sister name, she has to accompany me down to the M1 shop at West Mall to get a new handphone. We wanted to split up the lines as M1 has this policy whereby if you want to do anything to your line, you have to come down personally to settle it. If there is any additional line under your name but it is used by other people(eg: your mum, your younger siblings) and they want to do anything to it, you ALSO has to come down personally to settle it. Wah! TROUBLESOME!

However, as both lines my sister is holding on to still have some months left before the contract expire, splitting up is impossible. Oh no! But before i continue, i have to praise Miss Ann Lee, who is a customer service officer working for M1 based at West Mall. Her service is EXCELLENT. She is very good in explaining things to my sis and i, provide us with a lot of help and settled every of our problems. So at the end of the day, i got my new SIM Card, make adjustments to my service plan and the best thing is, next time if i need to do anything to my line, i do not need my sister to come with me. Woohoo! Kudos to Miss Ann Lee for her excellent service!

Not only does M1 Customer Service officers provide good service, the staff at M1 shop also provide good service too! You see, after we settled the stuff at the Customer Service Centre, the next step is to get a new handphone. However there are a lot of people in the shop and the queue was long. How long? My queue number was 3078 while they are still serving 3062. Than this particular incident happened that show i have made a good choice in choosing M1 over Singtel and Starhub.

You see, because the queue is so long, many people gave up or went away to do some stuff, like my sister. So this female staff(forget to ask for her name) was at her counter and pressing the button so that she can serve the next person in line. Imagine her sianz-ness and frustration when the people holding on to queue number 3071 to 3077 never show up. And when 3078 flashed on the screen, i have to tell her my sis is away and will be back soon. Boy, i can tell from her face she is damn pissed off. But she is kind enough to tell me to look for her when my sister returned and the best part is, when my sister returned, she immediately served us after her current customer in spite of the long queue. Furthermore, she was carrying a smile when she served us and you can't tell that she was once pissed off. Oh my goodness, this service is excellent. If you were in her shoes, would you be able to do that?

Oh boy, the service i received today from M1 is enough to make me their loyal customer till___(don't now yet).

HOWEVER!! Today is a weekend and that means both the Customer Service Centre and M1 Shop are full with people which translated to long queues and waste of time. I don't mind waiting but all those waiting time added together made me miss out on Kelly's SECOND autograph session. Can you imagine my frustration, my sadness and my fury? What is most sickening is that after settling all the stuff related to my handphone and rushing down to Wisma Atria in hope that i can make it, Pei Ling(Ah Ma) and Wei Xing told me respectively that the autograph session has ended while i was waiting for the train at Raffles Place.

After missing out on the first autograph session due to the Thailand trip, i told myself i can't miss this one and yet i miss it. Can you imagine how miserable i feel when other Kelly's fans proudly show off their lyrics booklet with our dear princess signature while i can only hide mine in shame? Can you imagine how i feel when they discuss how well Kelly dances and how wonderful her voice is when she sang live at her autograph sessions? Haiz...

If i ever miss the handshake session which is coming soon for whatever reason, you would see the following headline:

Male body found floating down Singapore River

Oh! Before i drown myself in sorrow, don't you guys want to know what phone i purchased today?

    I actually wanted this

    Nokia 6230i

but after listening to the Sony Ericsson promoter, i decided to get this baby.

    Sony Ericsson K750i

    Woohoo!

Guess what, my nephew is the first person to have his photo taken with my brand new phone. Um, don know whether it is his honour or mine as right now, at his age, taking his photo is as hard as using your feet to eat. My goodness, he can't sit still for a moment! Once you put him down on the floor, the next moment you would find him crawling around you or chasing after ants. 天啊! It really took me a lot of luck and "precise moment" to have his pictures taken. But hey, i have free wallpapers! Haha

    Back...2nd day

Back to Singapore for around 22 hours plus plus le. Appreciate everything here, the taxis, the MRT trains and definitely the cleanliness. Oh boy, i still love my home, Singapore.

However, i am now trying to get used to my life back here though. 5 days in Bangkok and i am kind of used to the life there. I feel like a King there. I spend money in terms of hundreds and i am enjoying the slow pace of life there. If you see the rate we are spending money over there, you would think that our money come from the sky man.

Oh well, that was 22 hours plus plus before and I am now trying to stop saying sawadeekrup and refraining myself from saying "Go by meter?" to taxi drivers here.

Not typing my adventures yet. Waiting for my sister to pass me my card reader so i can upload my pictures to the computer. Oh ya, do look out for my travel tips too. Yes i know i am no travel expert but just sharing some of the things i learned mah. Good to know some stuff beforehand right? Haha.

Have not start un-packing yet. I went there with 2 bags, one half-full and the other full. I came back with 3 bags, all full. I will finish by today... i guess.

Oh ya! I heard something BIG happened while i was away. Apparently, this female by the name of Tammy of NYP did something really(to the power of infinitely) stupid. Why would ANY girl want to videotape down the whole process of having sex? I mean, some people may have not-so-normal thoughts but videotaping down the process of having sex? Furthermore, from various sources, i heard her boyfriend did some actions which in a way is considered an unnatural sex action and according to Singapore Laws, it is ILLEGAL. Oh boy. I have no comments on this but to feel pity for her. Not only will she not be able to lift her head to face the world and live on, but she or her boyfriend may/will be faced with legal actions against them. Ouch.

    Back...

Finally! I am back to somewhere i am familiar with and in one piece. Woopi!

Just back from Bangkok, The City of Angels, Thailand, The Land of Smiles. (Eh, in short, just back from Bangkok la. =p)

I won't say it is an excellent trip, but it is quite a good one. The trip would be perfect if i didn't lose my hp... damn. If you are reading this, i have two instruction for you.

    1) PLEASE e-mail me your contact number to yikai56@gmail.com (So i can contact you mah)
    2) Please do not mention anything about hp, do anything to your hp while i am around(calling, SMS-ing) or else your family will have to go and recognise your body.

My number is still the same. I lost my Mum's SIM card. Damn.

I am actually considered okay. My brother(Wei Yang) lost his S$500 camera. As he said, 是你的就是你的,不是你的就不是你的。

On a brighter note, we did shopping! Oh my goodness. I have never spend SOOOO much in just 5 days in my whole entire life. Everything there is a bargain. There are simply SOOO many things there and sometimes, you just wish you can buy down the whole area. Wow! Will update my trip later on. Pictures included too. =)

Oh ya, before i end, i would want to recommend The Twin Tower Hotel Bangkok to everyone. It is considered to be a 4-stars or 3 -stars hotel but i would say its service is 6-stars. I feel like a King there. Special mentions go to the porter as he is very helpful, always giving us instructions on how to go to this and there. Thanks so much! Will make it my accomodation next time i visit Bangkok again.

Now to just try not to fall asleep while bathing...

    D-Day

Right now, i am at the airport using free internet access. Woopi! Kudos to Singapore Changi Airport for this service.

This will be last post before i jet off to Bangkok, The City of Angels. Unless i can find a really cheap internet cafe over there, i won't be updating until thursday.

    So till than, cya guys!

Now to just find the boarding gate...

    Friday, February 17, 2006

    1 day before

    Woohoo! Woopi! Hooray!

Tomorrow is the day man! Tomorrow at this time i will be in Thailand, the Land Of Smiles. Wah, the title very appropriate leh cause i am now smiling. =)

    Okay maybe that was lame.

I guess at this time tomorrow i will be settling down in the hotel room or watching some ah-gua show. I won't promise i will update my adventures everyday unless i can find a really cheap internet cafe over there. Haha. But hey, i promise there will be pictures, lots of them. Um, but you have to help pray that my camera will be safe hor. =) No free lunch in the world one la. Haha.

Oh no, i just found out that my packing progress is still rubbish. Remember i said yesterday i have packed only 2 of the many stuff i need to pack? Latest update is that i have improved this number by 2, bringing the grand total to 4 out of 10 plus items.

Ar Bish Ar Bish Ar Bish!!!

Don't worry. I will finish packing up by tomorrow morning...i think.

Anyway! The feeling has come again. Everytime before i go for a trip, i will have this feeling. The feeling of leaving a comfort zone and venturing out of it into something new. The feeling of fear that i have not bring enough stuff to help me face the new challenges(actually this in short is that i fear i have not brought enough stuff). That is why i always hate the few hours before setting off. The mixed feeling of excitement and fear always left me in a not-so-good mood. But once i step out of the house, the feeling of excitement always win. However i will have to wait for around 11 plus plus plus hours before the excitement feeling win. What to do? Wait lor...

Before i end, i need to bitch about this again. Why Kelly's first ever personal autograph session for her debut album has to be tomorrow? Cannot other day meh? Than why of all time must be at 3pm leh? Why cannot other time? Why!? Why?! Why!?

One last note, the GCE "A" Level results not yet released leh. They better don't release it while i am away or else i will make sure you get to see some body parts floating down Singapore River.

Now to just plan the places to go for shopping...

    Thursday, February 16, 2006

    2 days before...

Although this is not my first trip overseas, i am rather shocked by the amount of things i have to pack. There is always this funny feeling which i cannot describe every time i am packing for a trip overseas or for a camp.

Today i have started packing my clothes. However, i feel like i am preparing food, especially Japanese food. Why? I don't know about you guys but this is what i do everytime i pack my luggage to minimise the space taken by clothes. I would first fold them up before rolling them up. While i am happily rolling clothes up, a sudden thought flashed through.

Now all i need is a knife to cut this sushi roll into individual sushi pieces.

    !!! !!! !!!

I am serious! Those rolled up clothes really look like those sushi rolls. Must be i too hungry le. Haha.

Anyway, my progress is rubbish. Although i have drafted out a to-bring-list, i have only packed TWO of the MANY things written on the list. Um, Yi Kai ar, you are setting off this saturday leh, NOT next saturday hor. To top it off, i have yet to draft out my to-buy-list.

    Um, to-buy-list?

Yes. I don't want my luggage to be filled with useless stuff i brought from impulsive shopping. These two words are VERY dangerous, especially when i am going to Thailand wor...

Talking about shopping, i read from a blog that you have to be very ruthless when bargaining in Thailand. How ruthless? Well, the author of the blog paid only 500 bahts for something whichh is originally priced at 2850 bahts. Wow! But that was too ruthless for me. If i am the author, i guess i would pay 800 to 1000 bahts. My mum also gave me a tip on bargaining. Always slash theprice to half the original price and than slowly reduce. I think i would follow my mum advice. =) I am a filial son okay?

    Random...

I have started my countdown to saturday. Yes. Saturday, 18th Feb.

Nahz, not because of Kelly's first ever autograph session for her debut album. Don't even mention it. Read this to find out why.

This saturday, i am jetting off to Thailand, the Land Of Smiles. Woohoo! Woopi! Hooray!

Anyway, this trip is very significant as there are many first associated with it.

This is the first time i am going Thailand with my brothers(not related by blood one...)
(The first trip overseas purely with friends happened 2 years back for the youth tozan.)
This is the first time i will be visiting Bangkok. (I only went to Phuket before.)
This is the first time i am travelling on a budget airline plane.
This is the first time i am travelling on a Airbus A320-200. (Was looking forward cause people said before better than Boeing planes...)
This is the first time since Primary 3 i am travelling while it is not a holiday. (Be it public or school...)

There are a lot of other first but i shall stop here in case you have to press Page Down 10 times.

However, there are a lot of preparation work to be done and i have not start on them yet! Oh no...

What if my results are released when i am away? Oh no...

Even if my results are released this friday, what if the registration period for University is just nice the duration of my trip? Oh no...

Even if i can find a Internet Cafe over at Thailand, what if i lack some important stuff to register like ID or password? Oh no...

Even if i have all the relevant stuff, what if i cannot make up my mind? Oh no...

    Feelings...

I finally laid my hands on Kelly's Poon's debut album and it is the limited edition one hor. Not cheap though as it cost nearly $30. But the price is definitely worth it. =)

A lot of expectations are put on this album. After all, the first hit song, 爱无力, MV cost $10000 wor. Furthermore, Kelly is the female champion of Project Superstar and the second one out of this competition to release an album. The first one is obviously Project Superstar champion Wei Lian lah. Just a few days, there are reports saying that Wei Lian's album has sold more than 30000 copies. So there are a lot of buzz surrounding Kelly's debut album and we can see how pressurising it can be when people start comparing her and Wei Lian.

Before i gave my comments on Kelly's album(i will try not to be biased... haha), let me write down what i did today. Very quick one la.

Today, i went over to ICA to collect my passport. Remember i said i am going Thailand? Just so nice my passport expired around July this year so i don't have that six month validity required to go overseas. So no choice but to do a new one. Wah! Do a new one not cheap leh. $50 man. ICA really know how to suck money man. I remember last time i lost my IC and i have to part with $100. Heartpain ar...

What is even more heartpain is that while examining the brand new passport, i saw that ICA only gave my passport one year validity. WTF! Yes i know i am going NS soon and i promise i won't escape it but one year validity only!? Imagine the time wasted going down to extend it again and again until i ORD? Haiz...

But at least it allow me to go for my Thailand trip... so maybe i should say thanks?

After that ICA trip, i dropped by HMV to get Kelly's album(heard that up to now, only HMV has the limited edition. Other shops like Sembawang Music and CD Rama don't have it, not even the normal edition one). Prior to that, there was this hype about going to the Press Conference at The Balcony by KFC. One of my doubts was answered when i reach The Heeren. As expected, it is a PRESS CONFERNCE, so naturally it is for PRESS la. So we have a group of people dressed in red waiting outside The Balcony. As to whether the club is small or big, i shall answer that next time. =)

What is interesting is that halfway through the conference(i assume she is taking a break), Kelly went out of the club, make a trip to HMV, pose with her album for the cameras, bought herself 3 copies, went out of The Heeren, distribute roses to lucky patrons of 2 restaurant and her fans before making her way back to the club. It was really fun to see a big crowd surrounding her as she made did the above stuff as only a true SUPERSTAR has fans and photographers closely at her/his heels right?

To further illustrate my point, i came across this incident at the Kellyfornia forum. There was this ang moh couple who was kind of curious why this pretty lady got such a big crowd following her so they ask one of the fans this, "Is she very famous?" Not long after, they were joining the crowd and taking pictures. If Kelly can attract fans just like this, need we say that she will take Taiwan, the capital of Mandarin showbiz, by storm?

On the way back, don't know why, i decided to take a bus instead of the MRT train. It prove to be a wise decision as i managed to listen to all the tracks in Kelly's album and i must say it is very very very nice. How nice? See my report later okay?

Anyway, my niece came over today. No pictures though as camera not with me. Slowly, my nephew and niece are beginning to get comfortable playing together. I believe soon they will play toys together, than begin to have a favourite toy, than begin to snatch each other favourite toy and woo la! A World War _(fill in any desirable number) in progress. Hope my helmet will be strong enough...

As promised, here are my doubts on Kelly's debut album.
Unlike Wei Lian's one, this album has 9 new songs and 1 song which she sang during the competition. I must say they are damn nice. It got fast-paced songs, sad songs and R&B song(s) in it(i assume) and they really show just how verstaile Kelly can be. All of the songs are very comfortable to the ear and i notice they pay more attention to her voice more than the background music. This move is a good one as you can feel that she really put her whole feeling into the song, thus fulfilling the 感动度 and 麻点 that everyone expects. Overall it is a good album, definitely matching the standards that senior local singers like Stefanie Sun set. Taiwan, you better get ready for the third wave we are sending you. Kelly Poon(潘嘉丽), Kaira Gong(龚诗嘉) and Jocie Guo(郭美美) will show you what Singaporeans singer can achieve.

If you ask me whether i have any particular favourite song in the album, my answer is no. All of them are my favourite. Haha. But as of now, my favourite is Track 1, Love Me Again and Track 2, 爱无力。 I like the R&B element in the first song and it is really very nice. About the second song, it is something that we can relate to. The feeling of loneliness after losing your loved one and and how it is affecting you is portrayed out so nicely that you can't help but share the feeling while listening to the song.

What a great album. Aren't you supposed to be getting one now?

    Amendment

I am blur... damn blur... super blur... VERY BLUR!

Thanks to Pei Ling's(Ah Ma) reminder, the Press Conference is on 14th Feb, not 18th Feb. So it sort of solve my last two doubts in my previous post. But than! I am still unsure about the Press Conference...

Whatever it is, i think i will just drop by HMV to get Kelly's limited edition album and 顺便 drop by The Balcony to see whether i can go in and 奏热闹。

    Confused

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day so here wishing every couple 永浴爱河,白头偕老. Hope you guys have a wonderful day tomorrow! Remember to try to contribute to the amount of babies here ya? Haha.

If tomorrow is 14th Feb, it also means that my idol, Kelly Poon, debut album will be out in the stores! Woohoo! After waiting for soooo long, her album is finally out. Will make sure i lay my hands on the limited edition of her album. 2000 only you know?

Just heard the album second hit song, 计时炸弹, on 搞笑行动派. It was written and composed by Kelly personally and i must say it is very nice. This and the first hit song, 爱无力, simply show how versatile she can be and i am very sure she will make it big in the scene.

Sadly, the first autograph session of her album is held on 18th Feb, the day i am going abroad. Imagine this. She is happily signing albums away at Bishan Junction 8 while i am checking in. Can you feel my agony? WHY? Why must i check in at the same time she is holding her autograph session? Why can't my flight be earlier so i can leave with a slightly more happy mind? Oh well, life is unfair. No use complaning right?

However, one thing has been bothering me all this while. At 2.30pm on 18th Feb, she will have a Press Conference at The Balcony at The Heeren. KFC, her official fan club, are going in full strength to support her. But, are they supposed to enter? Look, first thing first. The Balcony is a club, which means it is rather small. Secondly, it is a Press Conference, meaning a meeting for the PRESS. So KFC can enter meh? Thirdly, how are KFC going to rush down in a short period of time to Bishan to attend her autograph session? Fourthly, how is Kelly going to rush down too? The autograph session start at 3pm while the Press Conference start at 2.30pm. Press Conference 15 minutes only huh?

Unless i can find the answer to these four doubts soon and managed to get over my agony, i will be one very unhappy guy on the plane to Thailand, the Land Of Smiles. The JetStarAsia air stewardesses and air stewards better make me smile or else i will make sure Thailand become the Land Of Unhappiness.

    Choices...

These few days the main topic of discussion among my friends is none other than the GCE "O" Level results. Although most of my friends are rather happy with their results, you could see some of them are rather disappointed. From the way they talk, it is rather obvious. Well, what i could say to them is don't be too sad. Accepting this cold hard fact is hard i know but it is time to move on. The results is fixed and we can't change it. Instead, preparing ourselves to move on to a new phrase of life is the most important thing now.

Talking about moving on, my friends face this big problem of where to go. JC or Poly? If poly, what course? If JC, what subjects? Oh well, 2 years back i face this problem too. I was rather interested in poly but because there are simply too many courses, i decided to go to JJC instead. Why? To avoid making choices lor. Sounds stupid? Yes i know, My rationale at that time was that the choice i make will affect my future and i have not really decided what i want to be in the future so i went on to JC to avoid making that all-important choice.

2 years down the road, i won't say i regret this decision but i feel i would be more happy in a poly instead. Haiz.

No use looking back now. Now the most important thing for me is to chant more. I want to be able to accept my GCE "A" Level results(my guess is that it is a terrible flop) and consider what options are open for me and what routes i shall take in the future.

I am in a fix now, really. After avoiding making that all-important choice 2 years ago, i am facing it again. This time, the stakes are higher and one wrong move may prove costly.

I really hope to get results which qualify me for local Uni. I know my mum and my siblings are pinning high hopes on me. They have been very good to me and i really do not want to disappoint them, especially my mum. I hope to get into Uni, graduated and get a good job. I guess this is the only way to repay my debts of gratitude towards them.

Back to the topic of moving on, i will be moving on to a new phrase of life too. I am going to serve National Service this april. I am not too enthusiastic about NS but hey, it is something i have to go through. So, get it done and over with ba.

I guess i should just sleep now and leave my worries for tomorrow...

    Updates

Today is the release of the GCE "O" Level results...

Some are rather sad, some are rather happy while some are rather greedy...
Oh well, the results are out and it is time to move on...

The release of results don't really concern me. After all, i took it some 2 years ago and rather happy with my results...

However, the release of "O" level results means...

The GCE "A" Level results are going to be released soon!

    Shit. *bite nails*

    Hope i do well enough...

Anyway, the main point of this point is to do some updates...
Apparently, some of my friends who visit this blog thought i am now lazing around.
    Oh well, they are wrong!

For thursday and friday, i got a job as a packer at Republic Polytechnic.

Huh? Packer? What the hell is that?

I was also quite shock when my agent inform me of this job. In my mind i was like, eh, engage those companies that specialise in transport can liao mah... why need me? But, a job is still a job. A income is better than no income.

It is only when i reach Republic Polytechnic than i realise that my job is not to move those heavy boxes from the offices to the trucks. *Phew*

Um, there is this department in RP called Office Of Registar(ORG) which deals with the admission of students. They are the ones who handle every application to study in RP by students across Singapore through the JAE(Joint Admission Exercise). Besides, they also handle applicants who apply through the DAE(Direct Admission Exercise) and not forgetting those foreign students. In short, if you want to study in RP, you have to get through them first.

Okay, my job is to help this department pack their stuff. Stuffs like brochures and stationery are just some of the things i have to pack into boxes. Basically it is to clear out stuffs from their cabinets, pack into boxes, seal them up, label them and that is all. However, this is not only what i do. The other thing i have to do is to shred papers.

    Huh? Shred papers? Easy what!

It sounds easy bit it is not. The amount of things i have to shred is horrible. I estimate that if i stack up the number of papers i had shred, it would be around 100cm. Wow.

Sounds wasteful? I thought so too. BUT, i was told that they are confidential stuff, so no choice but to shred. So being the kpo kia that i always am, i took a peep first before shreding. the confidential stuff are actually the minutes of the meetings that the senior managment of RP held. But because they have been copied into soft copy, the hard copy are useless so... bye bye. Nothing interesting there... really. I read the first few lines and i gave up. Besides the minutes, i have to shred proposals too. The proposals are handed in by companies bidding to build RP permanent campus. The contents are full of pictures and they are rather interesting. However, because they use too much professional terms, i also gave up reading. But i must say the pictures are damn nice. Too bad i can't smuggle them out. Confidential hor.

So yup, my job for this two days is to pack things and shred papers. =)

Oh, i may sound suaku, but this is the first time i am using a shredder. My first impression of the shredder is that it is a cool thing. I feed it with paper and it comes out as shreds. Cool. However, when the paper got stuck, it is not cool anymore. I have to manually clear it so it can continue shredding more papers. Sianz. But nevermind la, a learning experience mah. So next time at work i will be able to use the shredder with ease and not be a suaku. It is better to be a suaku now than to be one later on in life right?

Got to go now. Got friend coming over to stay overnight to do project...

    Advertising

I serious need to advertise my blog. Compared to some bloggers, the number of visitors to my blog is simply pathetic. Hmmm...

Anyway, i don't know whether you guys caught the message but i mentioned once or twice in my previous posts that i am going to Thailand on the 18th. Woopi! What is special is that i am going with my two god-brothers and not with my Mum. Finally! A overseas trip without her. Not that i am complaining but you guys know the limitations when your mum is around right? Oh, these few days she has been asking me to take care in Thailand and not to mess around with girls.

I guess she don't want to have another female in the house and definitely do not want Zhi Chao to have another cousin. Okay mum, i got your point. =)

My computer crashed on me yesterday. Damn. Okay, maybe not the computer, but rather the graphic card crashed. Just sent it for repair and it cost me 15 bucks! Just because some programme crash my graphic card and i have to part with $15. Damn.

Oh well, what to do? Somehow my computer has make itself part of my routine and if it goes wrong, you know, the feeling of not following a routine just make me a bit uncomfortable.

Maybe i should start to phrase out my computer out of my routine...

On a brighter note, yesterday Superhost Revival Round saw Wei Xiong cruise into the finals! Woohoo! Now this make the finals very very interesting. =)

Oh, before i end, don't you guys think that words and letters are the best invention of man? Don't tell me the compass or wheels is better. Words and letters distinguish us from beasts and animals and allow us to be able to communicate with each other in ways far more advanced than the ways animals adopt. Words and letters are definitely wonderful. Here are some examples

ASSUME = Making an ASS out of U and ME. Don't you think it is so true?

FAMILY = Father And Mother I Love You. So true... so true...

    Details

With regards to the last post, let me elaborate on why i am restraining from KFC chickens in the near future to the don't know when future.

Last sat, my sis had a gathering with her friends at her house and i was there as free maid. Beside the usual food of ... and curry and etc, there was KFC chickens bought to serve as backup. Well, what we didn't expect is that everyone has a small appetite so there was a lot of spare chickens left. Which means, my sister had to consume it for don't know how many meals.

The worse part is that by dinnertime, the chickens had become kind of soggy, especially the original recipe chickens and the crispy ones fare no better. Same goes for the popcorn chickens and we had to throw away some mashed potatoes and coleslaw. What a waste.

So, while watching the Chingay Parade, i was at my sister's house consuming leftover soggy KFC chickens and i swear i will not touch them for at least 6 months.

As to why i say I Not Stupid Too is nice because it really make you weep and laugh.
As we all know, whenever Jack Neo produce a movie, it is always about social issues and we can always easily identify the characters in the movie. This one is no exception. As i always say, i am no movie reviewer. So the following is my two cents' worth.

This movie tackle the social problems of family where the parents are working and the kids hardly see them and the problems of our education system. Using a family as an example, it follows how the breakdown of communication between the kids and their parents results in family social problems and how in a way affect how the child perform at school which than brings out the problems of our education system. Than this lead us to discover the various problems faced by students and youths in their growing years. Seriously, i could feel how the actors are feeling as i am one of them. Now now, don't tell me you are not ya? Don't tell me you never face peer pressure before and never interested in how a baby comes about. If you never experience all these, PLEASE contact me as i wish to know how is life over at another planet.

There are many classical scenes in the movie which i am sure everyone has at least experience one or two of them before. The making fun and trying to matchmake a couple in class, watching porn, bringing handphone to school and kana caught la, the dread of entering a chinese class and many more. I especially love the part where the father(Jack Neo) is trying to bring his son(Shawn Lee) home but the son refused. So it results in a tussle and they were brought to the police station. Than the policeman on duty called the father to come down to the station, failing to realise that the person he called is just sitting in front of him. Than there is this scene which the Discipline Master conduct a spot check on students bringing handphones to school. I love it when the student refused to surrender his/her handphone, the teacher would call his/her handphone and the sound made by the vibration would give him/her away. It is really something that is close to us students. I mean, you can feel the tension and the sianz half feeling when your phone gave you away. In the movie, one female student took out her handphone from her... um... you know... bra... while another male student took his out from his... um... underwear. Although the effect is exaggerated to fit the movie but i will always remember the joke where we would always say "next time we must let the girls safeguard our handphone as they can always hide in their bra." Haha.

Will i ever catch the movie again? Yes.

Oh, today is the first time in a while that i am not working. Although i still wake up at 5.30am, i went jogging(yes, NS is coming okay?) instead of going to work. The feeling is kind of strange as everytime i look at the clock, i would be imagining myself to be at work or having a break. Hmmm... must be the after-effect of not following a routine but i am fefinitely not complaining. =P. Nothing much today... just catching up on some sleep. I slept only 9 hours over the weekends ya? But suprisingly i was rather hyper-active during the KTV session on sunday... hmmm...

Oh, this is something i always wanted to say but keep on forgetting it. Recently there is this anti-Denmark wave sweeping across the world, especially in SE-Asia. Why? Cause Denmark press too free and took the courtesy of making fun of Prophet Muhammad. Thanks lah guys! You guys not only angered Muslims all over the world but also the Islam extremists. I was thinking that maybe only TT Durai was kind of stupid but i realised that there are even more stupider guys out there. To the editor who allowed the offensive cartoons to be published, "What the FUCK are you thinking?" I certainly do not share your sense of humour.

Just hope that the world will cool down soon. World Peace!

PS: I am kind of hoping to see the cartoon. Anyway know where i can see it?

    Wow

It is now 3.48am in the morning and i got Kosen-Rufu chanting session later at 10am. Just pray that i will not fall asleep...

Anyway, after yesterday incident(details later), i developed a phobia for KFC chickens, be it crispy or original. Will not be touching any at least for the rest of this year.

The main point of this short entry is to tell everyone to go and catch "I Not Stupid Too" by Jack Neo. Trust me, although this may be a local movie, this movie is the best to ever come out of jteam productions.

    I Not Stupid Too

As usual, i will comment on it but at a later time. I need to sleep. Desperately.
Before i go, my rating for this movie is

    9.5/10

    Last Day

Today is my last physical working day and i am now a 无业游民.

I am having mixed feelings now. I am happy to quit this job and hopefully end my days of waking up at 5.30am in the morning yet i feel kind of sad too. Maybe it is this feeling of leaving a comfort zone as after one month, i have developed feelings for this job. Normally i would hope the day would pass by quickly so i can knock off and go home to slack. But today, i hope that time will pass slowly so i can enjoy more time with my collegues. I am so 矛盾.

I will always remember this four sets of numbers

    1) 9573 (My badge no.)
    2) CRM 064 (My locker no.)
    3) 18000
    4) 25000

    and the following

    1) Rework
    2) Needles
    3) Hypoint
    4) NHM
    5) NSM
    6) PP on cannula
    7) Cracked shield
    8) Epoxy on hub
    9) Loose shield
    10) Cleanroom
    11) BD
    12) Defects

    and doing the following

    1) Opening locker and taking out goggles and ear plugs and putting them on
    2) Removing street shoes
    3) Putting on hair net
    4) Putting on jumpsuit
    5) Putting on safety boots
    6) Washing hands
    7) Drinking water from water cooler
    8) Listening to department's meeting every morning
    9) Check needles

I will also miss my collegues too. It is really fun working with them and i will miss the following

    1) Explicit content discussed over break time
    2) Catching a short nap on the transport
    3) Catching Suzanne Jung on CNA Primetime Morning show
    4) The canteen food which we suspect will be listed as biohazards if tested by HSA and AVA

I may be bitching about this job every now and than but right now, i do miss it especially when i know i won't be going back on monday. I am going to do credits now. Don't fall asleep ya?

I want to thank the supervisors for a lot a lot of things. They are wonderful and definitely not those that i thought they would be. Just hope the boss of my next job would be kind...

I also want to thank my collegues for the wonderful time i shared with them. I especially want to thank Teck An(he said his name is spelled as Tick Aun, but i prefer to write his name as Teck An). He has been a great help, helping me out here and there and giving me encouragements and i swear i would quit even earlier if he is not around. Next is Preston whom i labelled as "alarm clock" as he would be the one reminding us to go for break on time. Not forgetting the fact that he is also the one who would always make the content of our break time conversation explicit. Next up is Edmund and Jesper(I hope i got his name right) who with Preston are another two "alarm clock" and the ones that make our break time conversation more explicit than ever before. Hey, if you guys are reading this, i want to say a big THANK YOU to you guys. You guys made my BD experience a wonderful one. Oh, do remember to tell me how are the movies going on. I remember the last one was episode 18, yes?

Oh well, i have handed in the resignation letter and there is no turning back now. As they say, 往事只能回味.

On a side note, i went to Singapore Polytechnic Convention Centre again to catch Kelly at the Singapore Polytechnic Concert. Um, nothing new compared to last time where she, Chanel and Silver appeared at SP for SP's open house. But could see that she is really tired from her face. If you are tired, the first sign would appear on your eyes and today, from her eyes it is rather obvious. Hope she has enough rest and may she take good care of her health. Oh, took some pictures too but i was seated toooooo far away from the stage so...

Anyway, on Valentine's Day, Kelly debut album will be released! Woohoo! Be hip, be cool, support original and please please buy original Singapore version ya?

    Freedom

This is it. I have decided. No more of this. No more. I had enough.

    I have
    .
    .
    .
    decided
    .
    .
    .
    to
    .
    .
    .
    quit my job.

    What were you thinking?

Yes. I have tendered my resignation today and tomorrow is my last day. Told my sister le. Have not break the news to mum yet. And i have not landed myself a new job...yet.

I don't know what to do with my free time... haha. Slacking around is a great idea. But... quitting my current job so prematurely give me some creeps. I mean, in the past, i am used to at least ensure that i have confirmed something new before moving on to it. Hmmm... just hope that i can get a job soon...

Anyway, i came across an article somewhere. I don't know to get angry, to cry, to laugh or whatsoever.

This is what is being wrote. (Note: Edited to suit my version.)

Next time, if you buying CDs, please get from CD-Rama as sales chart in the magazines now count only CD Rama. If you get from Sembawang, Music Junction etc, it will not be reflected in the chart.

Um, if the way to determine how well an album is selling is by calculating how much copies has been sold, why only include the sales figure of one source only? I am sure magazines are not that dumb... right?

In any case, i don't give a damn. To me, NO way am i buying from CD-Rama. Music Junction or HMV is way much better.
