    RIP

    What the fuck?

Inhumane is too kind a word to describe the terrorists who stormed the hotel in Mumbai and killed the hostages, among which, sad to say, our dearest fellow Singaporean, Ms Lo Hwei Yen.

It is no point condemning the terrorists now. Right now, we should all keep Ms Lo in our memories, mourn her death and pray that she rest in peace.

I hope her survivors can walk out of this episode stronger and live well for her sake.

    Joke of the Day...

A woman goes into a bar with a little chihuahua dog on a leash. She sits down at the bar next to a drunk.

The drunk rolls around, leans over, and splat! He pukes all over the dog.

The drunk looks down, sees the little dog struggling in the pool of vomit, and slurs, “I don’t remember eating that!”

Anyway, December approaching means Kenshu approaching. Planning is now full steam ahead.

    大家加油!

Speaking of which... logistics still slacking away... lalala...

    今天,我正式宣布,我的心。。。死了

    Thursday, November 20, 2008

For only $2, you can own a piece of COE for cars 1600CC and below.

Sounds good to be true? Especially when the government is trying to keep cars off the road?

    Well, it is true!

    Wow.

If i have a full-time job now, trust me, you will see me driving a car a few months down the road.

    But oh well.

No job, no money means i can't be part of the 1840 lucky bastards.

    Lost Child...

You know, being out of the mainstream makes you stand out. But it also means you lost touch with the "culture" within the mainstream.

Right now, most of my peers over at NTU and NUS are mugging hard during this exam season while i am, well, still trying to cover as many Bleach episodes as possible. You may say i am enjoying but truth is, i rather be a part of them, be a part of the mainstream. Seriously, i really wish i didn't screw up my "A" levels and not make it into any of the local U...

The feeling of losing touch with them is well, not that nice.

Right now, i wish those who are mugging hard for exams all the best and score well!

Woohoo! Finally, my first reservist is over. No more waking up at 5am to go to camp and no more staying in... at least until one year later. Seriously, NS and reservist makes one really appreciate the freedom of civilian life.

Reservist is well, okay i guess. Nothing much to really talk about. It is simply going back to the days when i am in service, but with a lot of unfamiliar faces. Boy, i do miss the good times i had with my batch mates. Hopefully next year will be better and with more familiar faces.

Electricity bills are set to fall soon with the decrease in oil prices after the increase starting from this month. To me, it means 2 things:
    1) Good news. It is hard to survive when the cost of everything is rising and the salary is not showing any signs of going up.
    2) Lame. Rise up and go down. You think it is funny to play around with people feelings? Emotion roller coaster from anguish to relief not fun okay?

On a side note, now that reservist and my exam is cleared, i got some free time! No, make it a lot of free time! So, what do you do when you are free?

    Watch...
    .
    .
    .
    Anime!

You were thinking porn right? Siao ar, after a while will sianz de okay?

Now i am currently addicted to the anime Bleach. Wah piang. Now episode 190++ liao leh and i have only just started. But never mind! Time is on my side and yes, i will catch up soon. Don't worry, at the most 1 week don't sleep can liao. Haha

Okay, i got to end here and let me go back to watching Bleach. Wish me luck!

    Joke of the Day...

    Blonde on the Sun

A Russian, an American and a blonde were talking one day.

The Russian said, “We were the first in space!”

The American said, “We were the first on the moon!”

The blonde said, “So what? We're going to be the first on the sun!”

The Russian and the American looked at each other and shook their heads.

“You can't land on the sun, you idiot!" the Russian said. “You'll burn up!”

“We're not stupid, you know,” the blonde replied. “We're going at night!”

    Joke of the Day...

A London lawyer runs a stop sign and gets pulled over by a Glasgow copper.

He thinks that he is smarter than the cop because he is a lawyer from LONDON and is certain that he has a better education then any Jock cop. He decides to prove this to himself and have some fun at the Glasgow cops expense!!

Glasgow cop says: ” Licence and registration, please.”

    London Lawyer says: “What for?”

Glasgow cop says: “Ye didnae come to a complete stop at the stop sign.”

London Lawyer says: “I slowed down, and no one was coming.”

Glasgow cop says: “Ye still didnae come to a complete stop. Licence and registration, please.”

London Lawyer says: “What’s the difference?”

Glasgow cop says: “The difference is, ye huvte to come to complete stop, that’s the law, Licence and registration, please!”

London Lawyer says: “If you can show me the legal difference between slow down and stop, I’ll give you my licence and registration; and you give me the ticket. If not, you let me go and don’t give me the ticket.”

Glasgow cop says: “Sounds fair. Exit your vehicle, sir.”

The London Lawyer exits his vehicle.

The Glasgow cop takes out his baton and starts beating the hell out of the lawyer and says,

“Dae ye want me to stop, or just slow down?”

    Obama Elected!

    Woohoo!!

Barack Obama won the election, making him the first African-American president of the US. Furthermore, the Democrats captured not only the White House, but also Congress and Senate, making them the dominant party in the US.

The victory is very significant in a lot of ways. Everyone must understand that throughout the history of the US, the blacks are mistreated and there are a lot of prejudices against them. Before Lincoln, the blacks are generally slaves and the perception of them as low-class, filthy and sub-human has been passed on till now. Even though US promote equality among humans, it is just an ideology. To them, equality among whites? Yes. Equality among blacks and whites? Huh? What are blacks? Are they humans?

Think about it. Just around 43 years ago, the famous Montgomery Bus incident took place and we can see how bad the blacks are discriminated. Although things are getting better for the African-Americans, there is still a sense of superiority among the whites. So it is something special when a black, our dear Mr Barack Obama, decided to run for presidency. It is so special that it sounds like a joke. A black in the White House? Are you sure?

But that special something translates into a miracle. I mean, people supported him! The support becomes so strong that he defeated Hillary Clinton -a white- to clinch the Democratic Party nomination. The rest is history.

Right now, i am glad that the citizens of the US have decided to tear down the race barrier and send the better candidate to White House to lead them through the turbulent times ahead. Really, as Mr Obama said in his victory speech, the American Dream is still alive and anything is possible. Who would have thought that the 44th President of the United States is a black? I am sure none of the founding fathers would.

Obama's victory is also a sign that US is really practicing what it has been preaching. A mulit-racial society. In this age of globalisation, countries are experiencing the effect immigration has brought, particularly the emergence of a mulit-racial society in their back yard. US is definitely not spared and i am sure with the big brother's ways finally on par with its ideals, the effect on the world is far-reaching.

So, it is a clear sign that Change has come to America and can the whole world see and feel it?

    Yes we can.

Cause i saw it with my own eyes. How the Americans decided to put away the issue of race. How the Americans decided to stop the nonsense of Bush's actions. How the Americans are so sick of the Iraq War. How they want badly their loved ones to return home to celebrate the next Christmas together. How desperately they hope for someone to bring them out of this financial crisis.

Congrats America. I am sure your choice is right and let us all pray that the following four years will be a good one.

    YouTube Tuesday

Nah... It will not happen in Singapore. Don't think too much.
On a side note, i do hope the Americans make a wise choice.
I personally hope to see Obama at the White House next year.
And, i would like to offer my condolences to Mr. Obama for the untimely death of his beloved grandmother at such a crucial period in his campaign.
