    Updates...

Helo! Been a while since i managed to find the determination to sit down in front of my computer to do some updates. Haha. Simply too lazy lah.

[Warning: Long post ahead. Making yourself comfortable is advised and preferably with your favourite music playing in the background and some food and drink on the table]

Two weeks ago, I attended 2 performances, namely Stardust XVII and The Phantom Of The Opera.

    Stardust XVII

The former is a singing competition organised by NUS and i was there to support Jamie performing in the the group category. Wah! NUS got quite a lot of talents wor and you feel that you are attending a concert and not a competition. I especially like the performance by the 2 a capella groups as it was simply marvellous. But the judges were a bit kelong as most of us feel that the prizes were in a way handed to the wrong people. Oh well, maybe because they judged the competition from a professional viewpoint which differ from us.

One thing about my seat was that it is too far high up. The competition venue(NUS University Cultural Centre) was theatre-styled so the centre seats are gradually elevated towards the end and i happened to be sitting in the last row. The view was good but it is like the show is performancing at 1st level while you are watching from it from the 4th level. A pity Jamie walked home empty-handed but hey, in our hearts, she is already a winner. =)

The next day, San San, Alice and I watched The Phantom Of The Opera, one of the best show ever in theatre at the Esplanade.

Be it the plot, the visual effect, the props, the songs, everything was perfect. Even the theatre(Esplanade Performance Hall) was wonderful and for a guy like me to watch the show in such a wonderful and grand setting, it is simply a great blessing. The performance by the actors and actresses is simply excellent and last part of the show was simply touching and it almost left me in tears. At the end of the day, you can't help but walk home truly satisfied for watching such a excellent show.

However, my seating arrangement was similar to the one at the Stardust competition venue. Although i could see all the actors and actresses and my view was rather good, the show has some parts that involved the Phantom hanging in the air and i can see none of it. But nevertheless, it was a wonderful experience. Next time, i shall watch the show in Broadway and get myself a better seat. =)

Caught 2 shows, Spiderman 3 and Blades of Glory.

    Spiderman 3

Spiderman 3 was okay lah. It was a little disappointing cause i am watching it as a fan of the original comic. It is not fair the way they gave Venom, Spiderman most powerful enemy so little attention. It seems that just want to touch and go on him. Furthermore, why must Venom movie screentime be shared with Sandman, a villian that not most of us remember? The only thing that comes out from this movie is its actions, which is simply good and the camera placing is better than the previous 2 installements. Spiderman and Spiderman 2 had rave reviews and high expectations were placed on Spiderman 3 yet it fails to deliver despite taking a longer time to produce. Haiz.

    Blades Of Glory

Blades Of Glory was simply hilarious. It is good for a comedy and Will Ferrell performance was great. Overall, the show is really for you to relax yourself and have a great laugh. =)

Other days, i was attending meeting after meeting. It was tiring, no doubt, but it gave me a sense of familiarity as i feel i was back to the old days. In the past, i would trot around the island attending meeting after meeting and yet i could still find the energy to go for PC activites that start in the morning, which means i would have to wake up ridiculously early despite sleeping ridiculously late the night before.

However, I suspect age is catching up with me(O.o). I could still handle the meetings but asking me to go for morning gongyo the next morning? Maybe next time... haha. But don't worry! I would find back the energy and zeal that i have in the past...

    Soon...
    .
    Ya... soon.
    .
    Real soon.

Okay okay, maybe in the very near future.
